Food For Thought

For many, our modern lives have become a mad dash... rushing from point A to B and packing our days to the brim.

It may come as no surprise, but this lifestyle has taken a toll on our health and habits, especially those around mealtime. And beyond the groceries that we buy, what's just as important as what we eat is how we eat it and our rituals around eating.

In this interactive discussion, yogini Mary Burruss will explain how the sensory experience of eating affects our overall health. Mary will offer solutions for changing eating habits for the purpose of regaining physical health and connection to the human spirit. Included in this workshop is a brief meditation, a few simple, seated yoga moves, and a basic art project for participants to envision their ultimate dining experience.

This class is ideal for 'Slow Food' aficionados, families, and anyone who has ever felt they don’t have time to eat.
