From Fearful to Fabulous
Our modern world with its unnatural lighting and sounds; processed foods; constant bombardment of information; ever-present screens and climate controlled environments is as anxiety producing for humans as almost any situation could be. The proof is in the skyrocketing rates of chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, attention deficit disorder and and other anxiety driven disorders. If you find that you are having trouble sleeping, catching yourself gritting your teeth or just plain having trouble coping this course is for you. Spend 7 weeks learning holistic self-nurturing practices to build self-awareness and better manage daily stressors. Meditation and breath work will be included in each session to help participants relax and calm the mind/body while an all level yoga asana practice may be incorporated when appropriate. Other self- nurturing practices to reduce stress and anxiety will be discussed throughout the course.
The course is designed for anyone who is feeling blocked from reaching their full potential due to fear and anxiety.
In this course you will:
Do some self assessment
Practice some yoga asana (poses)
Learn some breathing techniques (because breathing is really important)
Create a visual art piece
Discover gratitude and its benefits
Learn how your sensory intake affects your brain (and how to counter the bad stuff)
Determine your body constitution and learn some tricks for bringing you mind and body back to a place of balance
Laugh your way to feeling fabulous
